%X The emerging field of $m\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}a\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}g\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}n\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}o\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}n\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}i\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}c\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}s$ utilizes propagating coherent magnons (collective excitations of electron spins) as carriers of information. Scaling down magnonic devices requires finding new approaches to the efficient excitation of magnons at nanoscale. This study demonstrates an approach to excite coherent GHz-frequency magnons in magnetic insulators by means of dc electric currents. The proposed method opens a route for implementing highly efficient nanomagnonic computing systems.
